The study proposes to explore the role of Career Salience as a moderator for the relationship between Job Burnout and Organisational Commitment. Two hundred and fifty middle level managers, belonging to Private Sector Organizations, were studied for the present work. The variables were assessed through three validated instruments. The data were analysed through Descriptive Statistics, Pearson Product Moment Correlation, Factor Analysis and Hierarchical Regression Analysis. It was inferred from the results that Job Burnout was negatively related to Organisational Commitment and Career Salience moderated the relationship between Job Burnout and Organisational Commitment.
