Inventory management is a way to increase customer service while maintaining lower stock levels. The purpose of this research was to see how inventory management techniques affected university performance in Ethiopia. The research findings revealed that inventory management techniques did have significant effect on universities’ performance, indicating that a statistically substantial amount of the variance, associated with university performance, could be explained by inventory management practices. Since just-in-time inventory is a strategy for increasing efficiency and minimizing waste by obtaining things only when they are needed, it is an excellent way to save money on inventory. Hence universities should go through the idea of economic order quantity
