HARDINESS PERSONALITY AND STRESS FACTORS AMONG IT PROFESSIONALS IN CHENNAI, TAMILNADU

Preoccupation with tight work schedules, offering time bound business solutions to varied and complex problems within deadlines etc., are a typical work life which is characteristic of IT Professionals. Enhancing the strength of individuals’ internal resource, especially hardiness personality, is assumed to act as a shield while encountering stressful events in occupational life. In Tamil Nadu, most of the IT companies are situated in Chennai. Among top 10 IT Companies, 378 IT Professionals were selected for the study and in this paper, an attempt has been is made to study the relationship between hardiness personality and stress factors of the IT Professionals in Chennai.
